This book club will read C.S. Lewis' classic, The Great Divorce. Responding to William Blake's poem "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell" (which blurred the lines between the two destinations), Lewis reinforces the clear “either-or” distinction between good and evil; grace and judgment; heaven and hell. Written as an allegorical tale about a bus ride from hell to heaven, this book helps us see the depravity of man and the grace of God in a new light.
