Shepherding a Child’s Heart (Ted Tripp)
Ephesians 6:4 commands parents, particularly fathers, to not provoke their children to anger, but to bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. As Christians, we are often confused about how to raise children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. How should we discipline? What does it mean to raise children in the instruction of the Lord? And how can we teach and discipline without getting angry? Tedd Tripp paints a comprehensive picture of biblical childrearing as well as offering practical applications of how to shepherd children through the stages of childhood. We will be reading the 2005 Shepherd Press edition (ISBN 9780966378603). We will meet on Monday nights at 8:30pm.

Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life (Donald Whitney)
We know spiritual disciplines are important, so why don't we dedicate more time to these practices? This club will be committed to learning what these disciplines are and applying them to our lives daily. If you are a Christian and really want to be with God, then this book is meant to provide practical help. Our goal is not to be legalistic and count how many days you read your bible; instead, we hope to foster a community of encouragement, growth, and transformation. We will be reading the 2014 NavPress edition (ISBN 9781615216178). We will meet on Tuesday nights at 8:00pm.

Sacred Marriage (Gary Thomas)
"What If God Designed Marriage to Make Us Holy More Than to Make Us Happy?" There are two rival views about marriage today. The popular view is that we get married to live happily ever after by finding someone who can make us happy, and we'll try to make them happy too. But what if God's design for marriage includes struggle, difficulties, and sacrifice, with the promise of far more joy and fulfillment than we could ever have imagined? Whether you are single, dating, engaged, married, widowed or divorced, join this book club to study God's divine purpose for marriage. We will be reading the 2015 Zondervan reprint edition (ISBN 9780310337379). We will meet on Thursday nights from 8:00 to 9:15pm.

The Great Divorce (C.S. Lewis)
This book club will read C.S. Lewis' classic, The Great Divorce. Responding to William Blake's poem "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell" (which blurred the lines between the two destinations), Lewis reinforces the clear “either-or” distinction between good and evil; grace and judgment; heaven and hell. Written as an allegorical tale about a bus ride from hell to heaven, this book helps us see the depravity of man and the grace of God in a new light. We will read from the 2015 HarperOne revised edition (ISBN 9780060652951). We will meet on Sundays at 1:00pm.
